Technical Sales Executive

Energetic and capable individual required to join our client’s vibrant technical sales team and drive market share across the southern and western Africa region.
The Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating mine planning software applications including optimization, design, and scheduling for producing short, mid, and long term mine plans.
- Working closely with prospective customers to develop and qualify leads through cold-calling, networking, attending trade shows and other sales initiatives.
- Liaising with a wide range of customer contacts, from technical support staff through to C-Level management, delivering the best solution to fit their requirements.
- Negotiating, developing, and delivering proposals and presentations
- Managing client expectations throughout the sales cycle and product implementation.
- Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.
- A solid understanding of both open pit and underground planning.
- At least three years’ proven experience in the sales of mining software packages
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English and ideally one or more local languages
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to interact and explain technical concepts to clients from non-technical backgrounds and work on tasks independently.
- Proficiency in CRM and analytical tools
