Flexo Solutions Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of our client’s team and provide high level technical support for customers and channel partners across Italy and occasionally beyond.

The Position:

The appointed Flexo Solutions Engineer will assist customers in optimizing their use of our client’s flexographic printing solutions.  Working both remotely (75%) and onsite (25%), you will provide day-to-day troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, installation support, and proactive support services.  This will involve:

• Providing technical support on hardware, application (media support) and software for regional flexographic customers.
• Performing remote support via the phone and dedicated tools (as part of escalation process).
• Performing pre-install surveys to ensure that equipment and space is suitable to support high quality platemaking.
• Supporting Alpha and Beta programs for upcoming products with selected customers
• Delivering proactive services (preventive maintenance, plate-room audit, print trial support) at customer sites.
• Performing installations and equipment upgrades

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of the printing hardware used by flexible packaging customers
• Self-motivation and a desire to develop additional skills
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills within printing pre-press equipment
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian to summarize technical situations and path forward
• The ability to follow instructions and to interact with high level support roles
• Proven ability to work under pressure and in an environment of competing priorities
• Strong customer focus to resolve problems and meet customer satisfaction
• Experience of working in a “hands on” field-based position with minimal supervision.
• Good PC skills including basic Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and communication
