Mechanical Estimator

Shaping the future of data centers, our client is a renowned general contractor known for their innovation, commitment to quality and dedication to safety. Due to an internal promotion, they seek a skilled Mechanical Estimator to assist large-scale Mission Critical projects and drive successful outcomes.

The Position:

The appointed Mechanical Estimator will assume responsibility for:

• Plumbing system piping design & estimating
• Take-off and pricing for HVAC systems, air systems, heating and cooling and fire-protection
• HVAC ductwork/ pipe sizing and take off
• Performing estimates across different levels including conceptual design, design development and construction documents
• Supporting field operations by reviewing field change orders and assisting in answering contractors’ requests for information
• Supporting the pre-construction team in the bidding process for the different procurement methods including general contracts, construction management and de-sign build
• Technical support for the resolution and tracking of project issues

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate :

• A minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• At least two years’ construction and design experience.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of mission critical data center experience.
• (Ideally) Prior working knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Winest, WebLEM, BlueBeam, Revit modelling and Autobid.
