DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE FINANCE

Operating from a network of five regional offices across the UK, our client helps SMEs in multiple industries to achieve their ambitions in four principal areas: Selling businesses, buying businesses, business funding, and learning.

Based at our client’s Manchester office, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of client engagement, from initial consultation and deal execution through to project management, with additional involvement in developing new business and nurturing advisory relationships within the Northwest.

This is an outstanding senior opportunity that will require a candidate capable of demonstrating:

• A minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
• Experience of advising clients on both buy and sell side M&A work, as well as debt and equity fundraising.
• A track record of managing time-critical multiple concurrent projects to successful conclusions
• Strong interpersonal skills and technical competence to deliver M&A and fundraising lead advisory services.
• Corporate finance knowledge and experience (gained in practice) including deal execution, client management, leading negotiations, providing advice and delegating work
• Experience of valuations in the context of M&A transactions
• Good business analytical skills, report writing and financial analysis
• Good working knowledge of common tax issues arising on the sale of owner-managed businesses
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgement / ethics (respecting risk management and compliance)
• Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
