Human Resources Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for the hiring and evaluation of employees, pay planning and pay structure reviews, benefits management, management of employee related issues, and ensuring compliance with requirements and regulations.

The Position:

  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Establishing a recruiting and interviewing program, conducting exit interviews, and providing feedback to management. 
  • On-boarding new employees and preparing employees for assignments by scheduling orientation and training programs.
  • Developing a program for employee evaluation and annual reviews, preparing files for management consideration of potential for pay increases and promotions.
  • Implementing employee benefits programs and informing employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends.
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Enforcing management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • At least five years’ experience in a human resource management role, ideally within heavy construction / infrastructure contracting.
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Knowledge of labor / employee relations, benefits administration, employment law, hiring, and supporting diversity
  • (Ideally) PHR/SPHR certification
  • A stable employment history with minimal changes of employer
