An established ingredients manufacturer is currently looking to appoint a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead its business development efforts in the personal care and cosmetics industry.

The Opportunity:

The appointed Sales Director will assume responsibility for driving revenue growth, expanding key client relationships, and developing sales strategies to position the company as a market leader. This will principally involve:

  • Proactive new business development
  • Managing and strengthening relationships with existing clients (brands and contract manufacturers)
  • Team leadership:  Recruitment, training, team management and coordination of internal collaborative efforts
  • Defining sales strategy from market insights and competitor analyses

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience of selling into personal care, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, or fragrance manufacturers
  • A proven track record (minimum 5 years’ experience) of scaling sales teams and securing high-value contracts.
  • An established network of connections within brands and contract manufacturers
  • A strong background in meeting and exceeding revenue targets and growing market share.
  • Strong leadership abilities to build, manage, and motivate high-performing sales teams.
  • Sufficient technical understanding of formulation, product development, supply chain, and regulatory requirements in personal care.
  • Proven negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), data analytics, and digital sales tools.
