A regionally leading and Top100 US CPA Firm, our client is looking to onboard an exceptional Senior Associate for their Transaction Advisory practice in Atlanta.
You will play a critical role in executing financial due diligence engagements for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and performing business valuations for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting, tax, and strategic planning. You will work closely with clients, private equity firms, and other stakeholders to analyze financial data, assess risks, and provide insightful recommendations. This position will occasionally be tasked with supporting sell-side engagements with tasks such as market analysis and the development of information memorandums. This Perfect Candidate will:
- Lead and execute financial due diligence engagements for buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
- Conduct comprehensive business valuations for financial reporting, tax planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial statements, assess the quality of earnings (QoE), and identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses to support diligence and valuation engagements.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, legal, and operational diligence, to provide integrated solutions for clients.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness throughout the engagement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, valuation methodologies, M&A market dynamics, and accounting/financial reporting standards.
This Role Requires:
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles (GAAP), and M&A processes.
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
- Familiarity with business valuation methodologies (DCF, market approach, cost approach, etc.).
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines while working in a team environment.
- A proactive and results-driven work style is essential, along with the motivation to the initiative necessary to guarantee timely completion of deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA, CFA, ASA, or MBA is a plus).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial due diligence, business valuations, transaction advisory, or M&A services.
- Experience at top-tier advisory or accounting firms is highly preferred.
